I'm British and I don't have anything against Turkish people or anyone else for that matter. I think it's just because I was raised well.
People who are racist really annoy me. I hate it when people pre-judge others because of their country of origin, skin colour, religion etc. Racist people often assume that everyone from a certain country is the same, how can that be when people in the same family aren't even all the same? We are all different and deserve to be treated according to who we actually are and not judged by the actions of others. Your question could be seen as stereotyping the British, but I'm pretty sure that that wasn't your intention.
Take care :)

When a person is suffering, such as from a bad ecomomy, it is easiest to blame others. If you are in an area where the Turks are a large immigrant group then you are being scapegoated for ills that you have no influence on what-so-ever. If you are talking about the country and it's people. I don't know - I don't hate you. Look into your country's history to see what went on way back when. Because, think about it, the Hebrews and Palestinians have been going at it since Biblical times and I often wonder if they even know why they hate each other now.

I don't hate Turkish people. We have a Turkish family in our street and they seem very welcomed and happy here since arriving. They are friendly and pleasant. Maybe the people you have met are just like that with anyone they don't understand, perhaps the problem is not with you, but with them? There is racism in the UK, but to read the tabloids you would think we all have grievances. it really isn't like that. I hope you find some nicer, more tolerant people and see that this is not your problem, it rests with those that cannot see beyond the end of their nose

I don't hate Turkish people. And actually, I don't know anyone who does. I've never actually talked about Turkish people with my friends or anything, so it's not really something that we think about.

some people who hate ofeten feel threatened by the person who they are hating. It is unfortunated how people result to hating and they think that that will solve everything.

Stereotyping is easier. ppl don't bother to ask anyone anymore. I give everyone a chance. If you lose my respect it is your fault.
