We are not winning the "war against terror" all because we made so many enemies that it is hard to figure out who is the terrorist and who is not. Bush on the other hand; don't even know who is the terrorist because if he did; we wouldn't be in Iraq at the present moment. The truth is we are our own terrorist and the reason I said this is because how many times do we hear someone American is blowing up something or trying to blow up something? How many times do we hear about American killing American which goes on everyday of our lives? I mean who is the real terrorist to us? We can't control our own people in the USA so how do we figure that we can control someone else in another country? No one is really winning the "war against terror or terrorist".

President Bush says we are "fighting a war against terrorism," which is the idea that terror can be used as a compelling means of coercion. Since terror can only be invoked through the threatened denial of expectations, the terrorism method is much more effective against a society that has higher prospects for success or gain. For instance, our massive "shock and awe" campaign in Iraq failed to bring them to their knees, whereas a conventional attack against our centers of military and globalization made us so scared that we rewrote our Constitution through the USA PATRIOT Act, giving away the freedoms that made our country great. If that weren't enough, we started a war against an idea, something we can't possibly win with guns and bombs, which is draining our economy by billions of dollars every day and racking up a debt that our children can't possibly hope to pay off.
The only way to win a war against a philosophy is to not buy into it. If terrorism makes you do things that you wouldn't normally do, like give away your constitutionally guaranteed freedoms or steal money from your children, then that philosophy is winning the war.

Progress is being made. Bush told us from the get-go that the process would take YEARS! It took six years to beat the Axis in a conventional war. The Cold War took over forty years to win. The "mainstream media " is tickled to report anything negative and neglects to report good news. This tends to reflect their own political agenda, plus the age-old media theory, that bad news sells better.

no we will never win -- until we recognize the messege and stop fighting the messenger then we stand a chance .
Explotation is the way we do things here and abroad so this will never happen, get use to bombs going off here for the next hundred years .
maybe we will learn not to stir up a pile of $h!t unless getting the end of the stick covered is what we wanted and the fowl oder that followes.

There has not been a terrorist attack on U.S. soil since Bush took a stand against terrorism. I would say yes.

And I'm sure some liberal will say, 'but our soldiers are being attacked by terrorists." Yeah, no @#$%. They are putting their lives in danger over there to protect us here. You should thank one next time you see one.

Nope. It's just another unwinnable war like the "War on Drugs".
Sure there hasn't been an attack on US soil since 9-11-01. There doesn't have to be since there are plenty of Americans in Iraq to kill.

Well terrorists attacks happen every 10 years maybe. There is no real correlation here. So we will probably have to wait until 2011 to see if the presidents policies are effective. I hope so.
