Somewhat. Drama is a need for attention. Trauma is fear and insecurity. The need for attention can cause someone to make really bad decisions which result in something traumatic. Trauma is when the brain goes into temporary shock. So maybe they're not actually experience trauma, just severe drama which is largely self inflicted.
