My husband is a pilot with TunisAir and told me that 'officially' there are no flights btween BHX and MIR. You have a few options though. You could try a travel agent, like Thomas Cook, who charters planes from TunisAir all the time, or you could do what others have suggested and tried looking on Orbitz or Expedia, noting that you will have to have a connecting flight in there sometime. I highly discourage comming into Tunis though, as the weather now is VERY hot, and the trains and luagges (long distance taxis) are always full and uncomfortable, usually without air conditioning. The normal trip time between Tunis to Monastir is usaually 1:30-2 hours, but when taking a luagge or train you have to factor in all the stops and that makes the time considerably longer. Good luck to you.

I am checking and find that you have two regular options:
BHX - CDG (Paris) - TUN (Tunis)
or
BHX - MXP (Milan) - TUN (Tunis)
I checked Orbitz and found a pretty amazing deal:
Lufthansa has BHX - Frankfurt - Tunis for $404 TOTAL, taxes and everything.

Monastir is about 90 miles south of Tunis. Best to use ground transport from there.

Without knowing specific dates, this is what I got.
I put the dates for atleast a month out and not near any major holidays. and it came up with 861.60 gbp.
It was on British Airways connecting in Stuttegard to a Hapag Lloyd or Tunis Air flight.

Monastir (MIR) is served by the following airlines. Check with them for possible nice fares:
Hapagfly (HF) from Dusseldorf (DUS), Frankfurt (FRA), Hamburg (HAM), Hanover (HAJ), Leipzig (LEJ), Munich (MUC), Nuremberg (NUE) and Stuttgart (STR)
LTU International Airways (LT) from Berlin (BER), Dusseldorf (DUS), Frankfurt (FRA) and Munich (MUC)
Nouvelair Tunisie (BJ) from Dusseldorf (DUS), Kiev (IEV), London (LON) and Munich (MUC)
Tunis Air (TU) from Amsterdam (AMS) , Belgrade (BEG), Berlin (BER), Brussels (BRU), Budapest (BUD), Dusseldorf (DUS), Frankfurt (FRA), Geneva (GVA), Hamburg (HAM), Luxembourg (LUX), Lyon (LYS), Marseille (MRS), Munich (MUC), Nice (NCE), Paris (PAR), Prague (PRG), Rome (ROM) and Vienna (VIE)
Another alternative is to combine two tickets through a common airport between Birmingham and Monastir. You can check flights through these airports which I arranged from the shortest path to the longest:
Lyon (LYS) 1306 miles
Paris (PAR) 1306 miles
Nice (NCE) 1310 miles
Geneva (GVA) 1317 miles
Brussels (BRU) 1378 miles
Stuttgart (STR) 1441 miles
Amsterdam (AMS) 1453 miles
Dusseldorf (DUS) 1461 miles
Frankfurt (FRA) 1467 miles
Munich (MUC) 1529 miles
Hanover (HAJ) 1635 miles
Prague (PRG) 1715 miles
Hamburg (HAM) 1728 miles
Berlin (BER) 1802 miles
Kiev (IEV) 2792 miles
