Personal tastes, social stigma, and plain old beliefs about the nature of things probably explain it, but I bet the biggest reason is that it just has not occurred to most straight people to try gay sex. I imagine, though, that many people who are straight have indeed dallied with the same sex a time or two, especially as teens, when they are really getting in touch with themselves.

The same reason I won't try straight sex. I'm not attracted to the opposite sex and therefore have no urge to do so. Truly, I find the thought of such completely repulsive (no offense, ladies). It's not my natural inclination, and therefore I won't actively seek out to do it.
For the record, while growing up I had several "girlfriends" whom I cared a lot for, but there was never an ounce of romantic attraction.

I think it's because people are afraid of what they don't know and understand, they see many people go to places so they go there, they see a restaurant with alot of people there and they go try it, but they are afraid they can't live a normal life if they try something that would lable them as gay, lesbian or Bisexual. The Bible says it's wrong but my best friend is christain and she lives with her lesbian girl friend they are very good friends of mine, I'll even admit I once wondered if i was Bisexual and i still wonder to this day. There is nothing wronge with being gay other then God says it is and he forgives us.

Well, more try it than will publicly acknowledge it; for the rest, it's simply that they are not curious enough or attracted enough to do so.
More gay people will try straight sex because of the social pressure -- they are often in hopes that it will make them straight. There is no social pressure in the opposite direction.

Simply because they don't want to. It's one of those things that they won't do simply because it's not them. Just like I would never have sex with a man - I'm a lesbian and I know it.
Yes, basic human curiousity does apply to sexuality, but once someone's sure of their sexuality and happy with it, why mess with it?

cause that wouldn't make them straight in the first place.
human curiosity has already been applied to sexuality. thats why people of one's sex has always been curious about those on the other.
you can never be curious on what you already know.

When did sex, straight, gay, or otherwise, become so mandatory in society that we are all so obsessed with it? Isn't sexuality and intimacy supposed to be private? What business is it of yours regarding who is having sex with whom?

As much as I do like to try new things, I am not interested in gay sex. If I had the interest, sure I would try it.

So far I have met 2 straight guys that have become more "experienced" after they met me. They are still straight now and albeit more learned than those less fortunate.
