Right, so maybe posting a question on smashing gorillas was a little insensitive in the OTHER PETS category. Sorry.

Okay, same concept, hypothetical beings. A particle accelerator is reconfigured to send two smurfs barreling toward each other at extremely high speeds, perhaps approaching light speed, to see what sounds they make upon collision.

Note that smurfs are not, technically, alive and are actually a byproduct of alchemy, so most conventions of humane treatment don't apply.

It would probably make a giant smurfing sound.

If two beings (alchemy or not) are accelerated to speeds that high, the particles in their bodies would fly apart upon collision and the energy from their bodies would (in part) be converted into a tremendous explosion, resulting in a sudden expansion of heat and light.

What you would hear is a tremendous sonic boom. Assuming you were far enough away from the resulting explosion to not be vapoorized by it, that is.

Something like the noise of bashing one small child with another small child at near light speed I should imagine. I've never conducted the experiment, however if you can get the legal waiver required let's try it out.

Too funny, thanks for the laugh! I think they would make a sound very similar, if not identical, to the sound of a lemming hitting the ground when you are playing the computer game. Maybe a little bit more blue.
