No, I'm not. I've enjoyed getting older b/c I've been learning how to enjoy life. There are so many people much younger than I (36yrs) and they're losing their lives everyday. I've been blessed to be here this long and I'm trying to enjoy every minute of it.

no because you can wear purple hats, and take your teeth out, and paddle in the sea with your dress tucked in your pants, and no-one says anything. You can pretend to be deaf and find out what everyone REALLY thinks of everyone else.
You can fall alseep in the comfy armchair and get out of doing the washing up. You can do fun stuff with the grandkids and give them back when you've had enough.
You can go on coach trips and eat barley sugar and sing loudly. All your friends are called Betty.
You suddenly develop the ability to know every other aged person you meet and you discuss operations and deaths with them.
You can go to the doctors and start conversations with total strangers about your water works.
Bingo is a fun night out, seven nights a week.
You don't have to keep up with fashion. Make up is just bright red lipstick and green eye shadow.
You can wear huge nighties at night and not be told you're as sexy as a camel dropping.
You can be grumpy and not have to hear your husband saying it's the time of the month.
You can buy socks for everyone for christmas and get away with it.
You think orange and purple make a good dress combination
You can get tipsy at New year and sing Barbara Streisands greatest hits on the coffee table and everyone will applaud and wolf whistle
You can buy handbags at charity shops
you think all china ornaments are collectable
You can ask nice youg men in tesco's if they could just reach up and get that jar of jam on the top shelf, and not blush bright red
Tweed and tartan are always in
it doesn't matter that you wear fake pearls
you grow into your wrinkles
and you can get your hair done for £2 at the college on a Tuesday morning

Hell no, and I'll still mosh pit the hell out of you young ones!!!

I'll kick a$$ and take no prisoners. What is old anyway?

I'm over 40 and found my way into the pit 3 deep at the last Avenged Sevenfold concert I went to. Last year, I snagged a drumstick from Coheed and Cambria.

Afraid of getting old? Afraid of growing old? No!!!!!
Afraid of growing up? Maybe.

I am already 50 and I do not feel old yet.
Though I am afraid of what my 70's and 80's will bring.I do not want to be forgotten if I have to go into a nursing home.

Heck, no! I am old. Each year of ones life should be lived to the fullest and enjoyed. There's something new every day.

Life is easier with experience. Life is also easier when one lives alone (the kids are grown and gone) and has a little extra money.

I am having a ball.

I'm haveing a great time getting old. I love it. No babysitters to pay, no dealing with teenagers and my money is my own. I'm 48 now and can't wait till 55 so I can order off the senior menu.

Not at all. ageing is better than dying young. Besides I find as I get older my life only gets better.

Just because you advance in years doesn't mean you need to get "old" I know a lot of people in their 70s that act younger than people in their 20s.

Yes, b/c old people in the US are looked at as burdens. In other countries their revered for their wisdom, but here we stick the elders of our communities in homes and stop listening to what they have to say- Unless it's an election year.

Afraid? no, not really. I really don't like the idea of gray hair and wrinkles, but if your lucky enough to grow old that stuff shouldn't bother us. You know, the alternative is not the greatest.....:)

Never! I already am old by some standards but man am I enjoying life! Two sayings come to mind....You are only as old as you feel [ so keep doing fun things and you may never grow old} and the other is ..you have nothing to fear but fear itself....lighten up..stress makes people old!!Enjoy life while you have it
