I painted my sons room when I was pregnant with him...did two coats by myself....my ex was too busy "fishing" to do it for me. I wore a mask and my baby was born very healthy....he's almost 8 months and he is still very healthy. You should get someone to help you if you can...if not make sure u wear a mask and keep all the windows open...also take frequent breaks

I painted 4 rooms in my house while I was pregnant. I had heard that the fumes could affect the baby (I think there's a warning on the paint can), so I wore a mask to help cut down on breathing them in. My daughter is just fine.

Yes, they will. I painted the nursery when I was 8.5 months pregnant. I wore a heavy duty mask (not just a plain old dust mask...you have to find one that specifically says it keeps out fumes/odors). I found it at Home Depot.
Also, be careful if you're painting while standing on a chair/ladder/step stool. Pregnant women lose their center of balance, and you could easily fall.

The safest paint option is probably milk paint. Look it up online. It is safe and beautiful! I would not recommend using regular paint.
(ourgreenhouse.com has a nice selection of colors and I think they give a bit of info on it.)

Only latex paints are safe. So make sure and get latex and open the windows. I would recomend having a fan set up to.

Latex paint, latex bottles and nipples, hmm.... very dangerous, if your allergic to latex.
Latex paint is safe to paint with when pregnant, the fumes in this is latex fumes not chemical.

I painted when I was pregnant and I think that as long as the area you are painting is well ventilated you should be fine.

some paints can harm the baby inside you so it is best to let some one else paint while you are pregnant

Sanding old paint that may be lead will potentially damage both you and your unborn...beware. Fumes & all the stretching are no good, be careful.
