My friend swallowed an AA battery three days ago and he thought if he left it it would leave his body by natural means but he hasn't seen it yet. Should he go to the hospital?

Lucky it's not a crime to swallow batteries, otherwise he might get charged.

I Had a friend once who stole fireworks from a shop, he then swallowed the gunpowder. The police caught him and then let him off

Does he do acid very often? Was this some weird attempt to become the newest X-Man? Torchy, the Battery Boy? Hospital. Now.

well yes he should go to the hospital because the battery contains acids which can burn human skin. and if he swallowed it, it could leave a big damage in his body causing him to fall or get dizzy.

Isn't there lead in batteries and acid! I would have gone to the doctor or enhanced vomiting!
What does the hospital say!

Yes. The stomach acid can erode the battery casing, and the battery acid can do serious damage to his intestines.

I did that when I was 5.
I was taken directly to the doctor and forced to vomit.

I imagine after a few days, your friend will be forced to ...um.... purge...from the other end.

And no, sparks won't shoot out of a@@, but it will a heavily charged wait....you'll feel it in the air.

I'm fairly sure you're safe from any corrosive leak...but you don't want to take that chance. Get him to a doc...

You should atleast call the hospital for sure, because I believe you can die from battery acid and you wouldn't want it to start leaking after your stomache acid eats away at it.

Uhm, unless he is the energizer bunny, he should definitely go. There are dangerous chemicals in the battery and he also coul dhave it lodge somewhere and create a blockage!

No, I think he should ignore it and hopefully it'll explode inside of him and kill him. If he is stupid enough to swallow a battery and then NOT go to a doctor, he deserves to die, thankfully removing one set of stupid genetics from the gene pool.

I think he should call the local poison control number. They can tell him if he needs to go to the hospital or what he can do at home, if anything.
