Besides tampons, you can also use instead, which is like a menstrual cup that you insert, and it collects the blood and tissue. There is also Sea Pearls, which is like a sponge. As far as tampons non-scented is always best. Scented ones are known to potentially cause redness, itching, and irritation.

Learn how to use a tampon, doesn't need to be scented. You don't need to skip practice (I had basketball everyday during my first period) but if you feel very uncomfortable, you probably could. It may hurt a tad bit the first time, but if you are mentally determined, you can do it.
Just remember, every gymnast does this, and you can, too.

I personally do not use tampons. But just to let you know if you are a virgin putting in a tampon will be very uncomfortable since your not use to being stretched out. Before I decided to start engaging in sex I was unable to wear tampons because of how uncomfortable they were for me. But that might be different for you and the best thing to do is to give it a shot and see how you feel.

my sis was a gymnast for 13 years. she had the same issue. speak to someone you can trust that has already had a period. buy a small package of tampons first to see if they are comfortable for your body. if they work and are comfortable, then buy a larger box. you may not feel very good during the first day of your menstral...but you don't need to skip anything. you can always speak to a close family friend, aunt, grandma or mom if you can't speak to your own mother or father.

What exactly is your question?? Tampons....depending how old you are, always unscented... You can usually get info about them and the dangers of using them at drug stores.

You don't need to skip practice unless it 's for another reason, like cramps. Use plastic applicator, slim size, unscented, change it according to pkg directions or sooner if you start leaking into your panty liner.
