Companies like Godan and 1-800-radiator commonly rebuild condensers AND radiators. Call around to your local repair shops and ask. Usually, you find places locally that sell units that they purchased from distrubutors, but A/C condenors CAN be rebulit.

By re-core, do you mean re-build? If so, the answer is no. The evaporator unit is usually replaced with a new one if it starts leaking. You might be able to find a good one at a junk yard.
It will be a big pain in the a$$ to install because you'll probably have to take the entire dash off of the car to get to it!

No they do not. Once they become contaminated, they are useless.
