Home concerns itself with matters relating to the UK. As opposed to the Foreign Office which deals with international matters.

In particular, the Home Office is in charge of law and order and immigration.

In the UK Government, the Home Secretary, the Foreign Secretary and the Chancellor of the Exchequer are the three top people after the Prime Minister.
