Physics is in everything you do from brushing your teeth, to watching TV. Without the major breakthroughs in physics, you wouldn't be able to enjoy the technology we have today.

However, if you mean do you need to know physics the answer is no. Obviously you can brush your teeth without knowing the tooth brush is a class three lever. But for me, I appreciate the things in life like a sunset, when I know how they work.

if the laws of physics were any different, we would not be alive.

take gravity for instance, if it didnt exert its force in the evolution of the universe, atoms would not have formed as they are and even planets would not exist.
