I am 39 weeks and 80% effaced - 2cm dilated. I got my membranes stripped or swept yesterday. It cramped after but over time I started feeling these pains. It started last night, it would hurt in my back and then go to my stomach. Which I figured was contractions. They did get closer together and stronger, but didnt really hurt. So I just went to sleep, figuring I would wake up in the middle of the night in pain ready to go. But I didnt. I woke up with my whole stomach sore.... and still pain going on and off. This isnt possible right? To be in labor and still having contractions? What happened.

Labor is contractions. And alot of them. You should go to the hospital now. You didnt say how dialated you were, but you need to be checked.

You could be just starting labor. Make sure you have ruptured your amniotic sack. IF you think you have call your doctor immediately. You can get an infection.
