As an amateur ghosthunter, I can tell you that ghosts are real. I have photographic evidence, and am working on sound recordings. I think a lot of it has to do with a person's 'sensitivity' to such phenomena.
Go here to see some excellent photos; I have a few in there under "submitted photos".

There are some good EVP's here:

Also, look for any investigation of the Villisca Axe Murder house in Iowa. It is extremely active.
Don't get me wrong, I try to rule out any possible mundane explanation in photos and such before I start looking at paranormal angles. But it does exist.

There are ghosts, absolutely. Too many people have seen them or felt their affects for them not to exist. The real question is what are they. Are they really spirits of the dead? Or perhaps spirit creatures that were never "alive" in the physical sense? Or are they shadows from an alternative reality- thus we're as much ghosts to them as they are to us! Or maybe they're all of these things in different circumstances. I have seen spirits of the dead (my grandmother visited me five minutes after her death and stayed with me for 20 more minutes- long enough for me to rush to be with my mother when she got the phone call a few minutes after I walked into the house.) and I have seen things I don't know what they were. Nobody I knew. When I was a kid, there was this dog always trying to get into this one room in our house (even if you left the door open at night, it would somehow end up closed with an invisible dog scratching and whining at it). None of the kids would sleep in it so it was our "rumpus" room and study. I don't know WHAT that was!

Journeying on to Florence through the Tuscan countryside: Lucca, Pisa, Siena, Arezzo and other delightful towns dot the road to Pisa where who are guested of the Agostini family Villa di Corliano. The family - and 2 resident ghosts - still welcome guest at the Villa, much as it they were at the height of its fame in the 1770’s.

last but not least … legend has it that in the Villa della Seta at Corliano along the road running at the foot of the mount between Pisa and Lucca, there still moves the apparition of Teresa della Seta Bocca Gaetani, of famed beauty, descendant of an ancient Pisan family and given in marriage, in 1755, to the Count Cosimo Baldassarre Agostini. It seems that the noblewoman appears every now and then in the rooms of the mansion, moving tapestries and ornaments. Other times she has been known to slam doors and open windows. Some of the local peasants recall her arriving on certain nights by the light of the full moon. She appears on the drive of the park leading a coach and six, and then stops on the bend of the Ragnaia (“Cobweb corner”, so-called from the old name for the nets that hunters formerly used in the woods to capture small birds) to cast a glance towards the home where she once lived happily. The ghost, obviously of good nature, has been heard other times hurrying along and giggling in the underground passages of the villa, beneath the large wine cellars. The years go by and stories are told and retold, and there are still those who recall the evening in which there was the sound of an almighty clatter as one of the crystal chandeliers of the hall crashed to the floor. Those present dashed to the hall, only to discover on arriving there, that the chandelier was very much in its place. And still today odd episodes occur …

My nan used to have a bloke who stood at the top of the stairs so she'd have a chat with him as she did the housework (he never chatted back). And I reckon we've got someone wandering around at our place, I've seen him a couple of times looking out the window or sitting on a chair in the corner, and my fiance woke up from a bad dream with him standing over him. I reckon ghosts are there, and they aren't all evil, just funny little people wandering around.
Maybe there is something psychological, like if you're feeling lonely or afraid we conjure up people to comfort or distract us. I don't know.

Yes ghosts exsist. They are normally travelling between the veils of the material world and the spirit world. As a Wiccan I believe that when people die they return to the Summerlands where they re-generate and then live again as a new person in the material world. If while they are resting, they want to visit the material world, they appear as the vaporous apparitions we call ghosts.

I believe in the spirit world and do think in certain cases ghosts do exist, I also believe in angels. At the end of the day it's all about faith and beliefs so every person is entitled to their own opinion, people might not agree but should respect each others opinions and beliefs.

Yes they do exist, or i should say that the spirit world does exist, there is nothing to be scared of, it's just a great place where we go when this life ends, and they have nothing to do with superstitions, that is just mankind trying to scare you because they don't understand it, and they feel they can't prove it, or afraid of it, that's why so many people say it's rubbish, but prove it, prove they don't exist, and they can't, and when you give them proof it does, they come up with all sorts, saying your mind reading, getting information from newspapers, checking out the person before you meet them, and so on, but time will tell, and proven it will be.

ghosts are the manifistation of energy left by ppl that have lived in the past. like when you turn off a lightbulb-it still slightly glows for seconds afterwards. when your "body" dies, ppl believe that the energy inside you is released and can be captured in a certain area/building. Some ppl can see this energy and it comes thru in diff ways-orbs/shadows/apparitions/mist-clouds--remember a long time ago ppl didn't know what fire was-flight was possible-medicines-why can't "ghosts" be something that is possible? Open your minds-(we know little of those too???)

i believe because i know a girl who lived in a 6story house and she would sit in the middle of a room and the lights would flicker on and off. then she had two bros one who woke up every nite and one who never woke up. one nite the one bro who never woke up and say something in the room straying at him. and the other brother never woke up that nite. the house was one of the hospitals for the civil war so when someone died they would just throw them in the basement. that is a true story it is a muesum now because wats happened. the ghost are there today wondering the halls!!
