I think there was a single cylinder version of the Shooting Star, based on the 441 Victor engine and running gear, in the late 1960's.

The Shooting Star was a 500cc twin BSA. The single cylinder models were the Gold Star 350 and 500cc. The 650 twin was the Gold Flash then upgraded to the Road Rocket

Pretty certain they were all the A7 parallel twin.
