I think that most people would take the money. We again all want to tell our selves that we wouldn't, but I think that most of us would end up taking it in the end.

In this situation, as soon as the robber left, I would take any phone I could find and then I would call the cop an report the crime. The store would be in enough trouble as is, so they don't need anyone else taking any money they still had left

Look at it this way... why kick him when he is down?

I'd wait there and watch out for the money and the store till the owner got back. I wouldn't take anything, I'm not a thief and using this situation would be incredibly pathetic.

My mind would be turning over all the possibilities ...taking the money to pay the bills and a few luxury items...my mind would be saying...yes do it ..hurry up...come on..no one will know....then I would think through all the scenarios of how to get away with it..and then what would happen and how I would explain if I got caught and then my mind would turn to a picture of myself a tragic figure in a prison uniform....getting visits from my family ...or of me on a little holiday somewhere...with my ill gotten gains....by the time all this would have happened in my mind ..the police would have arrived I would have given a statement walked away thinking ...what if this and what if that...and then think what a stupid woman I am.....those who hesitate....get nothing..lol

Call the cops..this store has just been robbed, the store-owner probably could use some help instead of someone cleaning out his till

Sharky, that is a no brainer. I would leave the money. It is not mine to take and I would not want to steal it. I would find a way to close the till so no one else could get the money either and wait for someone in authority to return.

Call the cops! I think after you were in a store where an armed maniac just threatened everyone and robbed the joint, the last thing on your mind would be taking anything. You basically just want to get the hell outta there. Trust me, you would be shaking so hard you'd pee your pants.

I have moral standards. I would put the money in a bag to protect it and wait for the owner to come back. I am a witness to what happened (even though my viewpoint will not be all that helpful), so I need to stay

Well I wouldn't take the money. Mainly because I just wouldn't anyway and knowing my luck, there would be cctv and I'd get caught. I'd probably stay until the owner came back and make sure he/she was ok. See I'm not really evil all the time!
