Sorry but the only book that has changed my life is "The Bible"!
Other than that nothing, but the book "A Child Called IT" was definitely something that made me feel different.

I curious as to which one you apperently just read? What was it about? I need to read more. I really liked "Suttree" it was one of the only books I ever really got into. Yes it is spelled right, and it is in English. Its about a guy in prison. Great book.
PS. That person who made the comment on catcher in the rye, LMAO :)

Well, it's kinda a stupid question to ask and say you don't want to hear about the holy books.
It's the Bible for me.
and also another book (not by God)

Trinity by Leon Uris turned by opinions on Irish history completely on their head. Armageddon by Max Hastings did similar to my knowledge of the European War after D-Day

Read a road atlas, that made a significant change to my life!
One fav books is Thoreau's "Walden" (or at least the first few chapters before it becomes like reading greek poetry). Made me think at least.
