OK, so let me ask those who said they chose to be straight. How much debate went on in your head? How long did it take you to finally say, "Hmm, having weighed the options, how close a decision was it? Is it possible you chose to be straight because it was right for YOU to do so. I've said before, "I'm left handed. I can put a pencil in my right hand, but ti won't feel like it belongs there."

and let's overlook the fact that some people are in fact gay, and while they can get in bed with the opposite sex partner selected for them, they will be thinking about a same sex partner. Kind of like how your wife will only do you thinking about Brad Pitt.

Sexual orientation is not a choice. Choosing to act on the desires is a choice thing.

No... the closest I've seen are gay people who say they chose to be straight... or to outwardly appear straight as examples of people who have been "cured" -- mostly by religious groups. Of course, I've seen some of those secretly going to places to meet and be with people of their own sex because they are not actually heterosexual.
Since other animals don't have the reasoning power accorded to humans, though, how whould they "choose" to be homosexual, for they certainly exist.

i have choosen to be anything... i believe more on the lines that ppl are born that way. closet cases chose to ACT straight, but they never chose to BE straight.... they try b/c they are scared of the idiots in this world who think that everything is wrong with being gay and that you must shout it out to the entire world to make everyone straight again... HOW IN THE WORLD ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE EVERY SINGLE GAY PERSON STRAIGHT??? I'm sure lots of gay people would love to try to be straight just so the harrasment and abuse would stop, but they would find that they would be living a life style that just wasn't them.

This argument is ridiculous...of course we choose to be with the opposite sex...and we choose not date the same gender...It is a choice...and even if we were born with preferences we still make a choice.....the point is moot.

im straight and know lots of people who are and no they havent said that. in fact i know a few gay people to but they dont say they chose to be either.
let people live what they believe they are, we dont need to judge people.

do ppl really think the gays have a conspiracy, that we are trying to hide a fact that we choose to be gay........a lot of gay ppl especially drag queens are a lot like women, we love to gossip unfortunately......do you really think with that many gay ppl that love to gossip we could keep that secret so long........no......the only thing gay ppl choose is good tastes in decorating and clothes
