I honestly don't think the concept of 'Man Of the Match' was around in 1966...

I can't find it. Geoff Hurst scored three goals while Franz Beckenbauer said ""England beat us in 1966 because Bobby Charlton was just a bit better than me."

I am not sure but I would give it to George Hurst for the Hat trick he scored. Alan Ball's name doesn't feature much.
