Or you could 'right click' on the top bars and make sure the 'Address Bar' is ticked along with the others.

On the menu: View -> Toolbars -> Address Bar

Go to View in Internet Explorer, then select Toolbars, then select Address Bar. This should restore your address box.

The same tip works in Windows Explorer as well.

Sometimes some web pages are programatically designed to hide the address bar from you. Personally, I hate that.

you have to go to the " View " menu and press " toolbars" and select " Address Bar". Then the address bar will be displayed. You might have accidently un-clicked this option and thats why the bar had disappeared.

on the bar that has the icons for home and back etc, right click your mouse than check address bar
