Give'em the lie they like most. Generally a lie like you are good or your company's product is w'ful etc please the person. Ego is the key.

The trick is to NOT lie, things like that will always catch you up. BUT you can choose how much Truth to give and get a little selective with it, mild embellishment isn't lying, but remember you may be expected to perform the very duty you are exagerating!

Why do you want to lie?
It would be better to tell the truth, then you won't have to remember what you said.
Besides, if you do lie, sooner or later, you will get caught up in it, and things well be worse.
