You could take them to a Wilmington Blue Rocks minor league baseball game...tickets are cheap and parking is free.
Next door to their ballpark is a restuarant/arcade called Kahunaville.
Then there's always Rehoboth or Dewey beaches

I live in Wilmington and there's not alot to do here with kids !.
However if you go south on route 1 about a hour you have all the Delaware Beach's !!! It's great fun and cheap.
2 hours south still on rt 1 is Ocean City Maryland !! Beautiful beach and large Board walk with an amusement center on it.
