I have known Iranians in the past. They were all very nice and good people who became terribly upset when the Shah was deposed and the ayatollah came to power. One was in the US on a student visa and he was afraid the mad mullahs would either imprison him or force him into their war against Iraq if he ever returned.
The people of Iran deserve much better than the tyranny of the jihadists and false preachers they are currently suffering under.

Eventually, Iran will probably establish a democracy since prior to the newest president, move were being made in a positive direction. It's strikes me that the new shift is a knee jerk reaction to international tensions. There are a lot of problems with the Iranian systems, but only the citizens of Iran have the true ability to change the system.
I believe that all people should be free to choose, to speak, and to live without repression. But, freedom cannot be put in place with the barrel of a gun.

Iran used to be a peaceful place until petroleum was discovered there. The war with Iraq brought Iran backward by a few centuries. Then came the Russians. Right now Iran is trying its best to get back on its heels, by being more progressive, by trying to uplift the social position of women. But all these efforts are being suppressed by religious extremists. I have many times seen on TV stories of how the women are trying to enter the government, but arent quite able to because of these extremists. Most people are uneducated due to decades of war, this is proving to be a huge barrier in its progress. It is only through education that such strong religious movements may be suppressed and Iran may be lead into economic prosperity.

Get rid of the crazy mullahs and that President...they will start a war with our nation. Most Americans want peace with Iran; others could care less about Iran (no offense). We just want to be left alone.
Oh, and stop supporting terrorism...

God bless you and your family, please don't take it personally when the relentless military junta that controls our White House decides that they'll stop pretending to negotiate with you and starts bombing your country. Accept my personal apology now for this transgression and please keep in mind that the soldiers our administration will place on your soil, if any, are unwitting accomplices and not deserving of malice, though I respect anyone's right to defend their homes. All evils will be undone in 2 years when a new administration that is hoped will be wiser and less aggressive comes to power here.
