The doctor will consult with you to see which areas you find most troubling, with the caveat that it will be on the upper areas of your face. You will be asked to "make faces", especially to look angry and to scowl, at which time the doctor will begin to evaluate in which areas and how much serum will be injected. They will prep the areas for injection with rubbing alcohol, and then the injections will beging. You will be asked to keep the "scowly face" during the time the needle is in-sounds wierd, but it kinda hurts, so it's not all that hard to keep looking mad! I find the areas at the outside corners of the eyes are most sensitive, but my doctor has a portable air conditioning machine with a wand that lets me direct a stream of super-cooled air on the spots that hurt (before begining to numb it, and during to keep the pain at bay). It is actually really fast, maybe just 10 minutes from the time you enter the room, and not that uncomfortable. You should be instructed to "scrunch your face up" some during the first few hours, which helps the Botox travel through the muscle more uniformly.
I've had it about half a dozen times, with two different doctors, and NEVER had the lop-sidedness, frozen expression, or any other of the wierd side effects people warn about. It is absolutely worth it, and you are not expressionless at all. When done properly, you just look (and feel!) more relaxed. Results begin to fade after about 2 1/2 months, but you can go back as long as 5 months later to keep the look intact, depending on how you absorb and react to it. Have fun if you get to do it!

The doctor injects Botox into your wrinkles, and it basically freezes them. Only lasts 3-6 months

Botox should only be injected into the muscles of the upper third of your face. A doctor or nurse can perform injections. Contact a qualified plastic surgeon in your area and please read info from www.botox.com.

There's a book that tells you where you should go on your vacation. It's called your checkbook.
Knowledge is proud she knows so much; wisdom is humble that she knows no more. (Cowper)
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you did not do than by the ones you did. (Mark Twain)
You can't expect people to look eye to eye with you if you are looking down on them.
We can't always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future. (Franklin D. Roosevelt)
Be not simply good; be good for something. (Henry David Thoreau)

Some Doctor out there is going to stick needles in your face to remove all your wrinkles, but u better make sure that you want to look as if you can't smile or shocked all the damn time cause it freezes the muscles in your face for a couple of months! "So, if your ready to look, a little nutty for 3-6months, the choice is yours!"
