GERRARD AND SORRY BUT BESTEST IS NOT A WORD

Steve Gerrard is the best player we have at the moment. He is a match winner and has proved it many times in the past. Champions league final 2005. FA Cup this year. He has to be the first name on a team sheet each time, before the likes of Beckham, Rooney and Lampard.

The honor, i believe should belong to the great Geoff Hurst, who led England win the 1966 World Cup. If any of the three (Rooney, Gerard or Beckham )delivers a trophy for England this year's World Cup, then, perhaps he can be paralleled to the greatness of Hurst. Right now though, the three has nothing yet but popularity and money. But, with their talents and superb abilities, I think England has a chance to achieve a long-awaited "Copa." :D

Geoff Hurst - because he scored the goal that won England the World Cup in 1966!

Remember he was a last minute replacement! Will Theo Wilcot take his crown?

COME ON ENGLAND!

BESTEST is a word, why, because I can see it, and understand it, and it portrays the meaning ... better than the best.

George Best was Northern Irish.

The best English player at the moment is Steven Gerrard.

Even though I feel sorry for the flack he gets I'd say Owen Hargreaves is the worst. On the plus side, he's probably the best Canadian player in the World.

At the moment, I would say Steven Gerrard. He has been on top form recently and he is really going to shine in Germany.

Rooney will be our top player in a couple of years time. Hopefully this injury won't have any long term effects and he will get better and better.
