The economy version cost me $20 and I sat in a massage chair with an attached whirlpool footbath. The attendant cleaned my feet, rubbed them down, oiled and trimmed my cuticles, filed my callouses massaged them with lotion and then applied the polish - an undercoat, the color, and an overcoat to dry them quickly. She then escorted me to a spot where I could sit with them under a dryer until they set. They provided me with disposable flip-flops, as I had worn shoes and socks into the salon.

The $50 experience included all the same, plus a better quality massage, parrafin dip and hot stone massage. It was done at a more leisurely pace in huge comfy chairs in a tranquil spa setting. The foot tub had stones in the bottom for genle agitation (instead of the whirlpool tub that the other salon used).

They remove callouses, soak feet, use sloughing cream to get rid of dead skin. Clean and massage feet and lower leg, apply polish or acrylics depending on where you go and what you want. Charge you between 30 and 60 dollars depending on where you live and how high end a salon you goto.

It depends on where you go, but my beautician generally does the following:

Rubs off hard skin with a foot file.
Soaks feet in a foot spa.
Trims and files toenails.
Moisturises feet.
Removes cuticles.
Puts base coat, 2 coats of colour polish and top coat on toe nails.

*Remember to take open toed shoes, so you don't smudge your polish when you leave*

Alternatively, I just get a file and polish on my toe nails which is much cheaper.
