A decimal number is one made out the normal digits 1234567890. A binary number is made out 1's and 0's for example in binary 1=1 10=2 11=3 100=4 101=5 etc

These are number systems.

Decimal : The most common type. It contains 10 digits i.e. 0 to 9

Binary : This contains only 0 & 1. Everything in the computers are ultimately in binary numbers.

eg Decimal Binary
0 0
1 1
2 10
3 11
4 100
5 101
6 110
7 111
8 1000
9 1001
10 1010

and so on.

The decimal numbers is the numbers from 0 to 9
But the Binary numbers are the two numbers 0 & 1 only (its used in computers programming) becouse the computers knows only two things: true or false which mean 0 or 1 only

well see decimal number system uses digits 0-9, it is same as the algeabric system of numbers we use generally..
whereas binary numbers only use 0 and 1 ..... this was started from machine langusge which only understood on and off..

binary sytem is used in electrical applications most of the time. it has the numbers only 0 and 1.
