The safest way to get a tan is to use fake tan.. but if you want a natural tan then get a good sun screen of an appropriate factor. For example if you are going out in very strong sun and you have very pale skin use a high factor such as 25, but if its the other way round, i.e. light sun/dark skin then use a low factor such as 5 or thereabouts. Apply every half hour all over the exposed skin and you should get a nice tan. Hope I helped!

Tan-in-a-can.
If you must go into the sun, use SPF 15 or 30. Make sure it's PABA Free. I know PABA sounds cool, but it has been known to increase the risk of skin, breast, lung and prostate cancer, in laboratory animals, and cancer is No Joke.
SPF 45 and higher is equivalent to wearing clothes.
Regardless of product, gradual exposure is the safest.
Alt: Using Water or Baby oil is the unsafest, yet quickest way to get a tan.

you will get a tan, depends on the volume block out you use
the best way to get a tan is to fake it....heard of the Carribean tan that you only spray on...?
Very good (expensive as well) but believe me you do not want
to harm your skin. I know people who tanned most of their young lives, and when you age....you loook terrible
