Assuming you're a guy, well that's gonna be tough. Brown corduroy will always scream teacher, especially if it has leather patches on the elbows!! My suggestion would be a really nice Boot cut pair of light/stone washed jeans, got to have quite a good flare on them, and a nice crisp white shirt untucked, top 2-3 buttons undone, and a clean pair of smart brown shoes, do your hair nice, clean shaven and smelling good, and hope that that does it! Hope you like my suggestion, good luck.

Wear well-fitting blue bootleg jeans with a tiny white t-shirt or low neckline white top under the jacket. Try brown boots, possibly suede, that don't look huge like they belong 2 a lumberjack! (Tailored look)
OR, the white shirt and a brown and orange Indian print peasant skirt with lots of big chunky bead jewellery. (Bohemian look)
If you're a guy (sorry, it wasn't clear), dark blue jeans and a casual collared shirt. Dont' try a t-shirt, coz then it'll look like it should be a leather jacket, instead.

The corduroy jacket MUST go if you want to avoid those 'history teacher' comments. Why not try a leather jacket instead?

Youth? Self confidence?
Me, I'd love a brown corduroy jacket. If I had one, I'd probably just wear jeans and a t-shirt underneath. Make it work for you man!

gentle red, Burgundy, Mint eco-friendly or gentle Blue. because the pants are a straightforward colour of brown, a shiny colored properly can make the outfit look more suitable exciting and not in any respect so dull. Brown always seems tremendous with those hues.

My b/f was gonna get one from H&M but they never had it in his size. I think he was gonna wear a polo shirt under it, like a dark coloured one, and he always wears jeans and converse hi-tops (definitely not a look a history teacher would go for!). It looked really cool on him but it was just a bit too small :(
