it's important to moisturize to put back what the skin has lost after cleansing or even a shower. The water and soap will wash away the skins natural oils making it dry and tight and often flaky. As a result the skin can produce excess of it's own oil, therefore making it look oily. Therefore use a nice moisturiser to suit your skin type after cleansing.

As we get older, the elasticity in our skin starts to deteriorate, this can cause us to get wrinkles. By moisturising our skin, this helps with the prolonging of the eleasticity in our skin reducing the risk of severe wrinkles later on in life. Do bear in mind that you also need to follow a balanced diet, not smoke etc if you want the perfect skin. If you are a smoker, it is highly adviseable that you moisturise your skin as your skin looses its natural oils, vitamins and minerals due to the toxic tar intake when smoking.

To stop it going dry? Seriously, you only need to moisturise if it is very dry and sore and maybe cracking. Dry skin wrinkles easier too - so women tend to moisturise it - to prevent wrinkles. Men are less prone - we have testosterone to do that!

Moisturising your skin keeps it soft and supple to help prevent wrinkles and also helps to give you a better tan in the summer.

i think thats a good question because its not something that humans would have done naturally and we may have been more open to the elements that we are now. I feel strange if I havent moisturised.

We're all like sponges...ever see a dried out sponge?
Yuk!
But even SpongeBob knows water is the best moisturizer~
Ofcourse, as we age, we need all the help we can get. Remember If you're DRY on the outside, you're dry on the INSIDE too.
Drink lots of WATER & you won't need as much of the manmade expensive stuff . (Try vasoline)

Because dry skin can flake and induce more wrinkles as you age. Always exfoliate and moisturise. *always*

Moisturizing your skin is important because it keeps the skin soft and supple and makes you look fresh and younger looking.Dry skin wrinkles faster, can crack and shrivel. These cracks canbe extemely painful.dry skin is unprotected and exposure of bright sun can lead to skin cancer.and above all wrinkled skin makes you look unfresh and old.
