You say "specify the purpose"... what IS the purpose of this magazine? Is it about life at the college, is it a technical magazine about new discoveries, is it a satirical magazine attempting to find humor in the field?... what is the purpose of the magazine. That will help determine the name.
But for me, call it "Acid and Base" or "pH"
