God didn't create Adam first. God first created light, then the sky, then land and plants, then the sun, the moon and the stars, then all the birds and sea creatures, then all the animals (I think God created them first the young) then he created Adam, then Eve. And then he rest. Only some one as stupid as you could ask that question of yours. The egg came first. Scientists believe that the first, first bird, the Archaeopterx, was hatch by an egg which a dinosaur-like-bird laid. Therefor, the egg came first.

The answer to this has absolotely little to do with theology. We don't have an answer that we can prove because this event occured prior to our evolution. I would imagine that the egg came first from a pre-existing flightless bird species. This particular species, being flightless, probably experienced a rediculously high occurrence of having it's babies serve a predator's dinner. The shell appeared as a natural defense for the offspring of any parent; the most critical, sensitive period of a chicks life is then. It hatches at a time when it can be more defensive or defended against attack. Basic Survival Evolution. Period.

This analysis was recently corroborated in a May 26, 2006 CNN article, according to which the egg came first [3]. The key criteria on which CNN bases its answer, involving relatively recent findings from reproductive and evolutionary biology, are identical to several of those cited in the prior analysis

Scientists figuered out that it was the Egg that came first, because the chicken must have been a mutated other animal, and must have become mutated while in the egg, so the egg came first

Your "solution" only works if you believe in god, but i agree with the guy on the evolution and mutation theory.
