I don't know where you are from but i would say that it is very similar to the UK in terms of prices at restaurants, and every day life. This is because Cyprus is one of the wealthiest countries of Europe in terms of living conditions. It is not too expensive, but not cheap either. Paphos is a great place for holidays, go there and have fun and if you are careful with not overspending your money there should be no problem. Oh and prepare yourself for a great tan!

Cyprus can seem expensive to people who eat out every day. If you are staying in a self-catering apartment then you can always have an occasional day buying food from a supermarket. Drink plenty of water (as Paphos is really hot now) and you won't want to have more than one course every evening anyway.
Enjoy your holiday!

We no longer use the Cypriot pound, having replaced over to the euro on the first of hjanuary this twelve months. issues ought to likely look extreme priced in evaluation with the U.ok., yet it truly is totally via ability of the Euro adversarial to the pound. if you're an usual centred visitor the following, it ought to look that it has grow to be very extreme priced.......take operating example, a pint of Keo lager became round CY£a million.50, yet is now quite closer 3.50 Euros! also, with the present monetary climate, and with the fee of gasoline...as an island, of route, a lot of our products should be imported, and with distribution expenses too, this has made some products fairly extreme priced. i ought to danger a raffle, and say that at present, issues are on par. by the way, you receives a more suitable desirable fee of replace the following than interior the U.ok, so in basic terms carry a small quantity of Euros out with you, and then replace something of you money once you get the following

Food wise if you can get away from the tourist trail there are some lovely tavernas in small villages. I was there with the forces and we knew things the tourists didn't but if you can get some local advice then that is where the best and cheapest food is to be found.
