Actually yes, but in prophesy. The prophetic book of Daniel was written approximately 250 years before Alexander was born, and yet it describes him in amazing detail, from his death at a young age, to his being succeeded by four of his generals. Check out http://www.keyway.ca/htm2000/20000326.htm.

Can't remember it. I'm pretty sure there's not. Heck, Greece was in the middle of a Roman invasion and there's no mention of that in the Gospels.- That would be like talking about something that happened in France during the second world war and never mentioning it's invasion- It only makes points about very deliberate things and ignores the rest.

No - you have got to remember that the people who wrote the bible came from superstitious desert tribes. They would not have known much about anything outside their immediate neighbourhood

Christian Bible and its Holy tradition (following a Jewish prophecy from Daniel – pretended written in 6th B C, but for many researchers the pretended prophecy appearing in end of 2nd B C or later) is speaking of four World empires ruling the World until Christian time – having a Roman and Greek version for those, the Roman version pointing Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greek-Macedonian empire and Rome, Greek version was pointing the empires of Babylon, Media, Persia and Greek-Macedonian – that is finishing with Alexander’s state.
Greece was of course among those so rare (if sure having another) powers of Ancient world which never in its long existence for those 3 millennia occupied from foreign invader – until the end of 1st millennium B C and coming of Romans – themselves sure representing the continuation, development and realization and meaning of Hellenic culture, civilization and model (like known the East Roman half of empire continued having Hellenism as official culture, later with Byzance and until coming of Arabs – for about one millennium). Romans were finally preferred (like North-Greek Macedonia before) and wanted or tolerated for restoring the order, peace and system and union of Hellenic World – destroyed from total, constant, exhausting and destructive interior oppositions, struggles and conflicts, with the total interior and exterior disorders, chaos and anarchy for Poleis, following destruction, crisis and ruin after Peloponnesian wars.

Speaking of Jewish Bible Alexander was for sure not beloved for Jewish, because of his campaign in Palestine (before occupied from Babylonians, then Persians), During siege of Tyre Alexander with small detachment (including squadron from his elite Agrianian light infantry and another small squadrons) was starting 10 days expedition in North Arabian and Semitic mountain territories including inland Palestinian desert (suppressing attempts of resisting from locals with their again many times more numerous detachments).
Because of the fierce devastations, outrages and terror (crucifying 8 hundred men, slaughtering their women and children before their eyes and terrorizing the rest of population, still another 8 thousand prisoners are succeeding escaping for living as fugitives ever since) to which Jewish in their Palestinian desert were the subject from Alexander (Jewish were attempting initially of resisting) the Jewish named Alexander as “Thracida” – the “Thracian” which should be there meaning as cruel and barbarous as a Thracian – as recounting in his “Jewish antiquities” Josephus Flavius

The memories of Jewish were still quite new at time of Alexander, the memories from impact of the movements of Peoples of the Sea. Notion of Palestine was coming with movements of Peoples of the Sea – when in the 12th B C small part of the military invaders coming from Crete or Aegean established their colonies – 5 cities of Pentapolis on the coast of Chanaan where conquering the fortresses and points cutting local Semitics from access on sea and with their military and technological supremacy established for few centuries their domination, power and control over Canaan (with its local small Semitic states one of which is the Jewish) – often pillaged and devastated by them – resistence of the Semitics counting on their big superiority in number was having establishments – like Jewish in the Palestinian desert trying of defending themselves from oppression and expeditions of Philistimlians (described because of their domination and technological and military surpemacy as giants by Jewish) which giving their name to the country – Palestine – in Semitic as “Pelishtim” – the land of Philistimlians.
Philistimlians were little by little mixing with the local Semitics and adopting their culture and language or ethnicity (loosing their old identity and traditions and definitions of country) meaning the decadence of the Pentapolis which at the time of Macedonian conquest was already a Semitic country.
