personally i would stick with the windows firewall in sp2,i use this but you must remember it only scans incoming traffic, which can be a problem if you are sending data, ect to friends,as you will not be very well liked if you drop a virus or spyware on their p.c
a good free firewall is zone alarm avalible from http://www.zonealarm.com/ ,but i find this too obtrusive
a good anti-virus which has a firewall type interface is bit defender pro and a free 30 day evaluation is avalible from http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Download/browseEvaluationVersion/ ,this will remember all your favourite sites and will only warn you when you stray into infected pages
good luck

Kerio Winroute Firewall (as long as u can configure it properly) ... beside there's no popup saying something like " xxxx program want to access the internet" and ask for your input if the program should allowed to access the internet

because this program default rule is always block everything unless u set it up correctly(beside closing port this program can drop a packet sent by someone so they think that your computer was not connected into the internet)

beside there's a content filtering feature available within this program so u can filtering any website or doing something else like blocking your friend to access porn site, etc

and ... bla bla bla bla bla bla
