Bimbo is a slang word, meaning woman (or man!) regarded as having an exaggerated interest in her sexual appeal.
Which means a bimbo is not necessarily Blondes, they can also be Brunettes, or other colours, can be americans, or asians or down-underers..
But to generalise all blondes as bimbos... let's see if there are famous Blondes who are not so much into sex appeals...
Renée Zellweger - Oscar winner and three Golden Globes.
Hillary Clinton- a Yale Grad, United States Senator, only First Lady ever elected to the Senate. She has also written five books.
Princess Di- put her beauty and title to good use with pioneering charity work for landmine victims and Aids sufferers.
Jodie Foster- another Yale Grad, bagged two Oscars before she was 30 years of age. Fluent in French. My favourite blond!
Uma Thurman- her paycheque for Kill Bill 2 = $12,000,000!
Charlize Theron- another Oscar favourite and a string of successful movies.
I'm not a Blonde but I don't like prejudice being played on ppl, no matter who they are.

Sometimes they are, alot of the time the women just live up to the bimbo reputation as it gets them attention, even if they are actually intelligent.

no, blones are just as intelligent as everyone else. Blondes=Bimbos is only a stereotype with no scientific backup. Hope this helps.

The bleached/dyed ones generally are, but all the natural blondes I know are smart. I'm thinking that the ones that dyed their hair dyed it to go with their reputation, while the ones that are naturally blonde have spent their whole lives trying to prove that reputation wrong.

By putting anyone in a category is shooting ourselves in the foot...that you are just like someone else. AND I HATE THAT IDEA!! No-one can be compared to someone else...thats what makes us so complicated and great to study

the stereotypical ones seem to be ... like the party girls, etc. I see it in college all the time. But the ones that don't seem to fit the stereotype don't seem to be.
