a tampon for the right flow is more controlling..pads slip & are very uncomfortable..don't use one for a heavier flow than you have.(it can cause cramping)..change them as often as needed...in .the begining, you may need a lighter flow one....then a couple days into it a heavier flow one...toward the end a lighter flow one....I think Tampon or Playtex sells a box with both kinds for that type of situation.
You can also swim with a tampon, but definately not a pad...so your activites can be more normal with a tampon...
Beware though most have latex in them as an absorbant and if you have an allergy to it...you could end up in real trouble from an allergic reaction.

A tampon is more convienient, but i think a pad is more comfortable. If you happen to be doing alot of walking that day then you better wear a tampon because a pad won't hold up but if your just chillin around the house sport a pad. They both work about the same. GOOD LUCK>

Both. Tampons are good for the days your period is light and a pad is good for the days your are bleeding more heavily.
Its a very personal thing, some girls like pads others like tampons. I use both

A pad beacuse you don't want to get all this bacteria stuck in you. Yea a tampon is alot cleaner but if you use it to long you can get bad infections and might even have surgery. So best you stick to pads if you want a clean and safe vagina.

Tampons are good for during the day and you cant feel it if you put them in right, and pads are good for night time especially if you sleep for 10 hours..

I prefer Stayfree maxi pads for the ultimate protection. When you spend a lot of money on panties you do not want them ruined.

I would say a pad. coz I had a very bad experience with tampoon. It is very inconvenient during heavy flows and when u have to pee
