cassandra wilson, chris botti, miles davis, ella fitzgerald, tony bennett, cleo laine (english singer) and her husband john dankworth saxophonist. these artist will give you a variety of styles to listen to. find a record shop or jazz mart where you can hear these artist and of course use the public libraries. music is expensive so buy sparingly until you define your taste. enjoy!

Try the Rippingtons I think you will enjoy it. I saw them do a gig at the Palace Theater and enjoyed it.
