Don't know. It's rather a gray area. They are here illegally, so I really have no idea what legal rights someone would have when they invade the country. You might be best off if you turn them in to the authorities if you're worried about getting in trouble for keeping them. Otherwise, you aren't doing much more than many businesses are doing, except that you aren't paying them anything & are whipping them. If you pay them a couple of bucks a day & don't whip them, then you are about as legally liable as McDonald's, Wal-Mart, & all the many other businesses who knowingly evade taxes by hiring illegal immigrants instead of U.S. citizens.

You probably would be charged with immigrant smuggling or conspiracy to commit immigrant smuggling. In Southern CA, there have been many instances where illegals have been found in the back of a truck or in a shack or something of the like. Many immigrants here pay a "coyote" a large sum of money to get them across the Mexican border. Most recently, a suspected "coyote" was shot and killed at the San Ysidro border crossing (San Diego area, CA) by authorities. The immigrants, when caught, are deported, but the ones who transported them face serious charges.

That might fall under the same crime as harboring a fugitive.
