You must decide what is the purpose of your marriage and see if your marriage satisfies that purpose sufficiently for you to 'overlook' the lack of suitability between you and your partner. I would say in the majority of cases, living like this come back to haunt both partners, as resentment and distance builds between both. Most likely, when there are children involved, parents may decide to stay married for the kid's sake, but agree to live 'separate' lives - though I would not suggest this, sometimes due to the financial and individual needs of the family, it is sometimes necessary. If you don't like your partner enough to be his/her friend, and to spend time together, it will be very difficult to live a happily married life. I think the only way this can work is when the two people like each other, can be friends, but have fallen 'out of love' then perhaps stability, religion, economics (those other purposes of marriage) may override lack of suitability.

What do you mean not suitable? If you chose to marry your partner then guess what you need to seek help or counseling then so that they do become suitable to you and your needs... Are you suitable for your spouse?

if not suitable then why make the commitment til death do you part!!! marriage is not something that people should up and do for the fun of it. I dont think that people realize that they are not the only ones that get hurt. Think of the family on her side and on your side. You can not make your self happy if you are not happy.... it just will not work!!!!!!!!!! good luck

It won't work if you two aren't suited. Get a divorce and find someone who's perfect for you.
