I'm checking out an audition for a filmed production, and the ad says that since it's low-budget, all it can offer is 'copy, credit, and meals'. It's not like I'm seriously hoping for this role. I'm really just auditioning for the novelty of acting on camera - it's all just for play. Still, I'm curious to know what that phrase means, and I'm sure one of you brilliantly savvy Yahooligans knows the answer. ;)

copy is they will give U a copy of film, commercial, whatever, so U can use it as "live" 4 other auditions U'll have. meal is they will feed U during all filming time and credit is Ur name will be in credits like "starring - Ur name" and also U'll be able to use this in Ur resume when U update it. copy credit meal is usually provided in low budget projects, "cause they can't pay U. but it's good when U're beginner. as ur name is not known, U're not expecting to be payed, right?

It sounds like you get no pay, but will be listed in the credits and get meals during filming. Not sure what "copy" means, though.
