yeah i agree they are pretty great, and have set the benchmark for metal for years upon years to come!, they have stayed together, never sold out, and are a great live band.
i have seen them live 3 times, and well, they impress each time. BUT i also think there are better bands, ill probably get killed for this, but its a fact, there are.
on covers, for exapmle; sonata arcticas cover of 'die with your boots on' is just plain better, more power, more feeling, more.... everything!!!.
but still, maiden rock!

I love Iron Maiden from the 80's and I'm glad to see that Bruce and Adrian are back in the band and I'm also glad they kept Janick (he was a really nice guy), I didn't care much for Iron Maiden in the 90's although Fear of the Dark was a decent album, I didn't like the Blaze Bayley-Maiden albums very much.

IRON is a good band and they have really put out some kick *** stuff but I would have to say that as far as a better band it would be RUSH
