The 2012 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXX Olympiad, will be held in London, United Kingdom from 27 July to 12 August 2012. London will become the first city to host the modern Olympic Games three times, having previously done so in 1908 and 1948.

London. It will be great for those of us in the city; the East End is going to see some big regeneration, and I predict that - despite a last mintue panic and a lot of complaining by everyone here - we'll all get Olympic fever around March 2012 and it will be one of the best ever.
