I found this on the web, I hope this information is useful.

I'm African-American, and I have oily skin. Every time I wear liquid makeup it gets runny. Is there any way to prevent this?

Your best bet is to try a mattifying foundation that sops up oil throughout the day. We love Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse, which is a super-light formula that comes in a very wide shade range, from fair to dark. But another good thing to keep in mind is that you need to prevent oiliness before you put on your foundation, too. To do this, use a gentle cleanser morning and night, such as Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, and something that contains alpha or beta-hydroxy acid at night to clean out your pores (we like Neutrogena Clear Pore Treatment). But beware, using AHAs and BHAs will make your skin sensitive, so avoid eyebrow or facial waxing and be sure to wear a sunblock with an SPF of 20 to 30, preferably with titanium oxide or zinc oxide daily (apply after cleansing, before putting on makeup). During the day, if your skin still gets oily, use blotting paper to soak up grease without removing your makeup. Our favorite? Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets.

Use a matte foundation. Like the others have said if you hav oily skin skip using the liquid foundation. I too have oily skin and i have found the matte kind to work the best. Choose a brand that works well with your skin and that doesn't make your skin break out. Also you can try the cream to powder kind, it also works well.

Jane Iredale and Bare Minerals have a full range of colors and they stay on!! I mean you have to remove them nightly because they will last through sleep and not rub off onto the pillowcase. Also CoverGirl has the foundation Queen Latifah helped to create the Queen Collection. Almay has great coverage and stays on, I hope their color selection has improved however. Foundation will stay on skin that is hairless and exfoliated the best.

you can use vanity fair, revlon, cover girl, maybeline, as long as it matches your skin tone. i would definitely suggest that you go with revlon because it is long lasting. that is what i use for my skin.
