I agree with Conrad, try to degauss the monitor. Go into the monitor's settings ( not in windows but using the buttons on the monitor) and look for degauss or a symbol of a magnet with a line through it. It'll make the screen shake a bit but should clear up any discoloration. As a side note, "most" computer speakers are magnetically shielded to prevent this from happening. Hope this helps.

At anypoint during the move did it come in contact with a magnet. A magnet will greatly distort your screen. If this is the case you need to call a professional to fix it. You could also try ,This is not recomended, but if you want you can take a magnet and move it in a circular motion over the discoloration and move it to the side of the screen and keep it up till the color is back to normal. AGAIN NOT RECOMENDED CALL A PROFESSIONAL

If you put it anywhere near strong-ish speakers, the magnets in the speaker will cause color distortion, just like with a television set.
Move it away before there is permanent damage.

I believe there isnt n/e thing you (personally) can do. You're going to have to take it in to get checked. You probably don't want to go throught the hassle but doesnt it sound fun having some "pro" tell you that you have to buy a NEW monitor? lol

if you unplugged it from the computer, try checking for a bent pin on the connector
