This is kind of pricey, but well worth it...

I did this 4 years ago, and it was the best weekend of my life. They also do this one at Las Vegas Motor Speedway:

Someday I will try this one...I just need to save up some money.

Las Vegas is wonderful for outdoor activities. I would recommend Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. I'm a bit biased, having worked there as a Naturalist, but it's a must see. Mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking. You can drive the 13 mile scenic loop. There are wonderful spots to have a picnic. A trip to Mt. Charleston is also a fun way to spend the day. The temperature is roughly 20 to 25 degrees cooler then the valley. There is a nice lodge to have lunch/dinner and enjoy the serenity. At Lake Mead you can see Hoover Dam and take a tour. Plus, there are many comedy, magic, musical performances at all of the resorts.

Shows of course, but go see Hoover Dam, its about an hour drive from Vegas and if you take 215 til it turns into Lake Mead Pkwy. It will take you a more scenic route. I lived in Vegas and im not much of a partier. You can still have a good time. Gamble a little and the clubs are fun even if you dont drink. There is a new amusement park at the Sahara that GM owns and you can test drive some cars there on road courses. LOTS OF SHOPPING!!!

There are some free shows at some of the hotels that are fun.If you just visit some of the hotels you will find that some have malls in them and other shopping areas .There are all kinds of restaurants and buffets. if you are old enough just play the slots they are fun while you are winning. you don't have to drink or party to have a good time in vegas.....just take a look around and if you still aren't sure go online and find all you can about vegas.

Rent a car and drive to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Stay for a few nights. Watch the sun set. Hike down to the river (or as far as you think you can go). Eat a big steak at the Bright Angel Lodge.

Go to some of the shows (some of them are very entertaining) and swim in the great pools (e.g., Hard Rock Hotel). If you want more specific suggestions, contact me.
