I know who most celebrities are and I have never heard of her, so is she that big of a star??? What was she in???

She was a big fashion model and TV and Movie star in Asia.
First Singaporean to stage a large-scale concert ('My Story - Fann Wong In Concert') at Singapore's Indoor Stadium. It was a major media focus and a sell-out gig.
She was an artistic pictorial helmed by renowned award-winning Hongkong conceptualists William Chang and Wing Shya. It's notice in made-in-Singapore serials like "Bu bu wei ying" (1999) and "Xing suo" (2000) won Fann the most critical acclaim and viewership ratings.
In 2003, she appeared alongside international stars Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson on cinema screens worldwide in her first Hollywood film, Shanghai Knights (2003), which gave her career an international boost.
She was nominated in the 2003 MTV Movie Awards (Best Fight category) for her kickfighting role in this movie.

I think its her big, round eyes and cheeks. Many Sp guys thinks that she is hot and well she still looks pretty much the same over the last ten years (unlike Zoe Tay).
But on the international front, I think her exposure is limited to Taiwan several years back; and I thought that she was not outstanding in Shanghai Knights either.
Maybe she has the great looks but not the acting and singing skills.

well, I've never heard of her/him. Must not be that big of a star, so i think that answers your question. he/she isn't a star.
