You don't need to give your body a break, but you might want to thing about whether you want to switch to a safer form of birth control, especially as you get older and the risks of the Pill increase. Otherwise, just continue.

Long term use of the pill can lead to MAJOR health problems. Depends on how long you've been on it -- stopping will cause side effects, because hormone levels change.

I did and it was horrible, it felt like death because the cramps were 10x's as bad and the bleeding lasted forever and not to mention was super heavy.

no i asked my doctor this and he said it is fine to stay on them how much of a break would it be if you stopped taking them and got pregnant.
