Going out to eat with my husband is always terrible - he has the worst luck! My food is always fine, but he has found mop strings in his salad, meat wrap in his breakfast skillet, a waitress once was checking him out so intently that she dropped her entire tray on the people and their table who were sitting across from us. Once a waitress failed to even acknowledge my presence - after giving her my order three times, I thought I'd have to share with my husband.

i was served a chicken sandwich at Dennys that was not fully cooked (as in partially frozen). it still creeps me out, and i haven't been to Denny's since. Even worse than that was at Logan's Roadhouse I drank an entire glass of water before I realized there was an old dirty penny in the bottom of my glass. Hepatitis, anyone? And even worse than that, at a pizza place called tony's, both my boyfriend and I found large clumps of hair-like dust-balls in our soda's by means of drinking part of it. I don't know what it was exactly... definitely not hair, but it looked like a hairball. If it was a dust-ball, then it was the biggest one i've ever seen. Why is it you only notice things in your drinks AFTER you are finished with them???? ugh.

Once when i went to this place called Golden Orchid with a friend of mine. We had a wonderful time eating and at the time of payment we realised that we were a couple of hundreds bucks short.

in high school a bunch of us went out to denny's for a late night snack. i ordered apple pie ala mode, and requested they warm up the pie.
the waitress put the dish in front of me and the first thing i notice is that the top crust of the pies had at least a half inch of GREEN FUZZ over it! it was like alfalfa spouts on my pie!
i complained about it, and she was like, "oh. do you want another piece?" uh, NO!!
how could anyone not notice the green cotton candy swirling over a piece of apple pie...it's not like they didn't have to cut it or take it out of wherever, then stick it in and pull it out of the microwave and then scoop ice cream onto the plate NEXT to the pie, and then carry it to the table!???

Finding half of a small cochroach buried in my mushroom risotto and knowing that I could have already eaten the other half without realising....
And then being offered another serving when I complained - as I told them - the other half could be in that!!!

There was a live grasshopper in my salad once. Glad I was paying attention that day.
